Getting started with Dayroad 1.0
Free driving has no time limit and is free to use. In Focus Drive, choose a focus duration, enjoy the drive, and take a break at the Cafe afterward. Build focus records and Stamps as you progress through 35 Home stages. The app supports Korean, Japanese, and English.
Free trial and Focus Drive Pass
Japan Focus Drive includes a cumulative 75-minute free trial. Once it is used up, a Focus Drive Pass is required for that mode; free driving remains free. The pass is a non-consumable, one-time purchase, not an automatically renewing subscription. Prices vary by App Store country. Check the amount and currency in Apple’s payment sheet before approving a purchase.
Purchased the pass but access is missing?
Check your internet connection and the Apple Account used for App Store purchases, then tap Restore Purchases when it is shown on the pass screen. Use the same Apple Account you originally purchased with. If your pass is already recognized, a separate restore screen may not appear. Restoring purchases does not restore focus records, Stamps, or Home progress. If access is still missing, email us your app version and the message shown.
iCloud sync
Use the same iCloud account on your iPhone and iPad, and allow Dayroad in your device’s iCloud settings. You can check the status on the app’s data and backup screen. Sync is automatic; there is no separate iCloud import button. Changes may take a few seconds or longer to appear depending on the network and iCloud. If a sync-attention message persists, check connectivity, your iCloud account, and storage space. Do not delete the app as your first troubleshooting step.
JSON backups and changing devices
Export a backup from the data and backup screen in Settings and save it securely, for example in Files. On another device, import that JSON file to merge records and restore settings. Export the current records before importing as an extra precaution. JSON can transfer records even without iCloud. Pass access is checked separately with the purchasing Apple Account; the device’s trial usage is not included in JSON.
Focus Lock, Live Activities, and completion alerts
Allow Screen Time access and select apps to use Focus Lock. Restrictions end when focus finishes. Lock Screen timers and completion alerts require the relevant device permissions. If alerts are silent, check notification permission, Focus mode, ringtone and alert volume, and notification forwarding to your Mac. Enabling the app’s silent-mode sync option stops app audio in silent mode and when the screen locks.
Troubleshooting safely
If you experience display or sync problems, first export your current records to JSON and note your app version and any error message. Deleting the app, resetting data, or purchasing again should not be your first step. Use Apple’s refund request process for refunds; the developer cannot directly cancel or refund payments.
