DAYROAD · FOCUS DRIVE
Privacy Policy
Your records, on your device and in your private iCloud.
Data collection by the app
Dayroad 1.0 does not operate a developer server or automatically send user data to the developer, advertisers, or analytics providers. It has no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics or diagnostics SDKs. This does not mean data never leaves your device: private iCloud sync and backups you choose to save use Apple or your selected storage service.
Data stored on your device
Focus sessions and accumulated focus time, Stamps, Home progress, customization and name preferences, and app settings are stored on your device to provide app features. Usage of the cumulative 75-minute free trial is stored separately in the device Keychain, not in iCloud sync or JSON backups. Purchase entitlement is managed separately from progress records.
Private iCloud sync
When iCloud is available, focus records, Stamps, Home progress, and some settings automatically sync between devices using the same iCloud account through your private CloudKit database. They are not sent to a public database or developer server, and the developer cannot read these private records. A hashed identifier used to distinguish iCloud account changes is kept on the device. Apple’s services and privacy policy govern iCloud storage and transfer.
JSON backups
When you choose to export a backup, the app creates a JSON file containing records, progress, customization, and some settings, and saves it to a location you choose. Import reads your selected file, merges records, and applies the backed-up settings. Purchase entitlement and free-trial usage are not restored or changed by a backup. If you save or share a file through another service, that service’s policies apply. Keep backups secure because they contain personal records.
App Store purchases
The Focus Drive Pass is a non-consumable, one-time StoreKit purchase, not a subscription. Apple processes payments and purchase history; the app checks verified transactions to determine access. The developer does not receive your card number or Apple Account password, and the app does not send purchase information to a developer server or external analytics service. Restoring purchases checks access to the pass; restoring focus records is a separate process.
Focus Lock, notifications, and Live Activities
With your permission, Focus Lock uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to restrict selected apps and other selected targets during focus. Selections are stored and used on-device and by app extensions as Apple-provided tokens, and are not sent to the developer. Notifications and Live Activities display focus and rest status on your device. Timers and completion messages may appear on your Lock Screen. You can manage the relevant permissions in device settings.
Managing and deleting data
Use the data and backup screen in Settings to export or import JSON backups and manage data deletion. Before deleting, review the scope and iCloud notice shown in the app and save any backup you need. Deleting app data does not cancel Apple purchase history or reset free-trial usage. Exported files must be managed or deleted separately at their saved location. The developer cannot recover or delete your private iCloud or local records on your behalf.
Support email and this website
If you email support, your email address and the information you voluntarily send are used to respond to your request. Do not send passwords, payment details, or a complete backup file. This website has no advertising, analytics tools, or tracking scripts. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may process technical information, such as IP addresses, for security and service operation. This is separate from data collection by the Dayroad app.
